21 Month Milestone

Jacob is 21 months old today!  What a difference 3 months makes!  This little guy is talking up a storm.  Not sentences but one or 2 word responses.  He can tell you the names of so many animals (thanks to Go Diego Go!) and their corresponding sounds.  He is definitely an animal lover, with puppies being his all time favourite (for the moment).  He's still a lovable little guy, with a good nature.  He obviously takes after his Daddy....and here is his new monthly photo.

Some other pictures with the bear.

He is sooo adorable...I mean it's sickening at how cute he is.  Move over Taylor Lautner.  This Jacob is for real!

Zoo 2012

It was  beautiful day to visit the zoo.  An overcast day meant the animals would be out!  The lovely peacock.

The zebras.

Taking a glimpse at the white lions.

This was Jacob's favourite, the barrier reef.  He loved watching the fish.

I love this picture.  You can see the glee on Jacob's fac in his reflection.

Look, there's nemo!

We love the fish!

Fuzzy Wabbit

I think I know who's eating our plants...

We saw him when we came home today.

Is it Saturday already?

It's our last day!!!!  We have to leave tomorrow, that sucks.

After a day of swimming, we went and had our complimentary photo done on the dock.  It turned out pretty nice.  I can finally smile normally with my braces!

Claire says she is going to miss the unlimited ice cream sundaes the most!

Jacob agrees.

Oh, this soo good.  Marshmallows on ice cream.

I can't get enough of this stuff.

Yes, yes, yes....he's getting excitable.

Here are the effects of the ice cream sundae.

Friday Activities

We spent the morning at the resort doing our usual swimming, partaking in the activities and playing in the arcade.

Claire was serious about this game.

Ah nuts, I missed my cue.  Got anymore coins Mom?

The boys having fun.

Back in our room and calling Papa.  No joke.  He picked up the phone and this is who he asked for.

Later that afternoon Isaac and Grandma stayed back at the resort for movie night while Anthony and I took the little ones to Sarasota to visit some of our friends.  We arrived early so went to the local beach for a quick look.  I want to say it was called Sugar or Kew beach but I could totally be wrong....probably.  Anyway, it was sooo nice.

The sand felt like flour under you and it was white!

The water looked pretty clear too.  We'll definitely hit a beach next time we're down.

We promised to take Claire to the beach last year and never made it out.  She was happy to see it.

Just to prove I was there too.

Daddy's typical picture of himself.  He must think this is his best angle or something, ha.

This is great!

Thursday Resort Activities

Today Isaac tried scuba diving!  I wanted to do this with him, but I didn't pass the medical questions with my vertigo.  He was okay on his own and we were right there since they did it in the pool.

Isaac getting ready to go.

Another adjustment of the goggles.  It was different not having to breath through your nose.

Here we go!

Receiving his instructions.

Getting ready to go under.

Here he is!

 What a pro!

It was pretty cool.  To reward himself, he had an ice cream sundae - not really.  Every day at 3pm was unlimited ice cream sundaes.  Any of the 3 flavours, any number of toppings, as manys bowls as you want.  Isaac could get used to this.  It's a great way to ruin your dinner.  I wish they did unlimited ice cream sundaes a bit earlier, like 2pm or at least waited until 7pm.

Claire is rethinking her topping choice for the day.

Ah nuts, I should have got some more sprinkles.

Wednesday Resort Activities

It was July 4th so everything was closed for the holiday.  We kept ourselves busy again on the resort.  Lots of activities were planned.

For example, Isaac and Anthony participated in Family Soccer.

While they played, Grandma and I hung out with the little ones by the pool.  We would always bring down a bag of popcorn.  And guess who would eat it all?

Who me?

Taking a dip in the pool with Grandma.

This is the only bathing suit photo you'll see.  I can't even bare to look, ha!

We bought lots of groceries and have been eating in.  It's just easier with these guys.  Trouble #1.

 And Trouble #2.

A typical meal with the kids:

And then we headed down to the rec room for a big game of Connect Four.

Yes, I've got Claire now!

Cheese!  We love it here!

Then we headed outside for the resort July 4th parade.  Each of the departments on the resort had to decorate a golf cart and all the guests had to pick the winner.  It was cute.

Almost ready to start.

Here we go!

Here come the carts. It was impressive.

The guy dressed as the american flag was pretty cool.  You couldn't see his eyes, nose or mouth.  His whole face was covered, like he had a nylon sock on.  It looked uncomfortable.

This one was pretty cool.  I think it was the recreation department.  They had someone dressed as "Johnny Liberty" (instead of Statue Liberty).  He was on the other side of the curtain though so I didn't get a good picture.

I think this was housekeeping.  I like how creative they were with the rims on their tires.  Paper plates!

And as they drove by, they threw out candy and someone randomly put these glasses on Claire.  She didn't appreciate it.  She's no Kanye.

Isaac on the other hand fits the bill.

That's it!  Jacob liked the candy best.

Bye, bye, that was fun!  Jacob looked so cute waving.
