More Cottage Fun

In the morning, we went fishing!

Claire was super excited!

And it paid off, with her catching the first of the day!



She actually caught 3 in total, so she was so hyper afterwards. 

 Jacob also gave it a shot.

Cottage Fun

Marc and Joanne invited us up to the cottage for a few days with them.  Marc, Grandma and Grandp and I drove up with the kids early in the day while Anthony and Joanne came up after work.  We spent the day swimming in the lake.  After dinner, we walked down the road awaiting Daddy and Auntie Joanne.

I think I see something!  He was soo cute running.  He runs like an old man.

Sticks were fun and dangerous.  They picked up every stick they saw.

Fun at the Park

Cousin Mya was over for the day so we went to the local park.

We weren't at the park long before Claire started acting up so I dragged her home over my shoulder.  Jacob and Mya stayed and had a blast.

Nothing to see here, I made it down safe and sound.

Last Preschool Progress Report

Claire is moving onto JK in a few weeks and said goodbye to her daycare friends.  Here is her last progress report:

Claire is a loving, playful little girl who enjoys time spent at daycare.  Since her last evaluation, Claire has shown great progress in all areas of development.  Socially, Claire interacts well with her peers.  Claire enjoys participating in baking/science activities, doing creative art activities and her absolute favourite is the dramatic centre where she uses her imagination and pretend skills.  Cognitively, Claire is able to count to 25 without teacher assistance and recognizes her name and the names of her peers.  She can recite all the letters of the alphabet with clear prnounciation.  Claire is able to firmly hold her pencil, trace letters and numbers independently and has demonstrated growth in her fine motor writing skills.  We wish Claire all the best in Kindergarten!

New Bikes

We spent the rest of the morning at GWL, then had a picnic lunch under the trees before heading home.

And the first thing she wanted to do when we got home was go for a ride on her new bike.

She's sooo proud!

She loves her big girl bike! 

And now that Claire is officially in her new big girl bike, Jacob is the official owner of the tricycle.  He was pumped too!

We just have to get him using those peddles.

Claire's 4th Bday

This year we did something really special for Claire's birthday.  The whole family, including grandparents, aunts, uncles and the cousins, accompanied us to Great Wolf Lodge for Claire's birthday.

We kicked off the festivities at our place with an early lunch and birthday cake.

Uncle Marc was appalled by our cake selection (M&M's cakes).  Claire was expecting that he bring her a princess castle cake and that didn't happen.  So it's a good thing we had these handy in the freezer...haha. 

Adam couldn't wait to get into the cake either.

 Then we did presents!

Grandma Nang got a joint gift for her, Jacob and Isaac (early)...a swimming pool for next year.  I don't know who's more excited, me or the kids.  Daddy was not excited at the thought of having to put it up.
Kids come first!

Recall we got Claire her gift before we left for Florida, so we got her a small gift to open, the 4 pinkalicious books.  She loved them.

She also got some new games from Ryan and Adam, Uncle Marc and Auntie Joanne for her leap pad.

 She also got a new bike from Grandma and Grandpa and lots of clothes from Mya.

We then took the drive to GWL.  Unfortunately I don't have any water park pictures though.  I'll have to get those from Grandpa but a good time was had by all.

We then had everyone in our suite for Pizza and snacks.
