8 Month Milestone

Jacob is 8 months old today! This past month Jacob has sprouted 2 teeth! He's always a happy little guy and steals the hearts of all with his sweet personality and dashing looks. Here is his latest photo:

Check out the rolls on those legs.

The sweetness and dashing looks I was talking about.

What he thinks about his sister.

Just joking! He loves her to bits!

Activity Gym

It's always exciting to wake up to new toys! Now that Jacob is sitting up well, we pulled out the crawl n' cruise activity gym.

It wasn't too long ago that Claire was playing with this. My, how time flies! She had no problems showing her baby brother how to play with it.

On Her Way!!!

Claire did a really good job potty training over the weekend that we decided to test her out at daycare. We sent her without a diaper and this is what she looked like when she left.

And when we picked her up, she looked.....the same!!!! Yay! She went all day without an accident. Here she is showing us her dry tushy.

We were so proud of her and gave her an extra special dessert - chocolate sundae!

I also went out and bought her tonnes of undies - disney princess, tinkerbell, strawberry shortcake, elmo and max and ruby. She was really excited to see them when she got home.

She's on her way and we're so proud of her!

Having Fun

Some cute pictures of the kids playing together.

Hey there!

A smiling Claire. She's not much of a smiler, but around Jacob she can't help it.

Look at our little piggy squeal!

He's royalty and Claire loves to kiss his hands.

I don't have a diaper on...yay!

They were particulary happy as we were headed to grandma and grandpa's for father's day.

King of the Castle

Jacob in the castle! What a happy little guy. He just fit!

And a flashback of Claire at 5 months.

Jacob takes her in the weight category for sure!

Stamp Fun

You leave her alone for a second and she manages to get into trouble.

Instead of using the stampers, she thought her hands were better and used them on the ink pads.

Luckily she didn't touch any of the walls or couch. But how do you get angry at this face?

She said to me, "Don't worry Mommy, we'll go upstairs and wash my hands".

Daycare Picture Day

Claire's daycare had picture day this morning and they invited siblings to come so I brought Jacob. I took some test pictures in the morning and here they are.

The photographer did a great job of making Claire smile (can you believe that!) and although Jacob was tired (as it was supposed to be his nap time), he was well behaved. We didn't get a smile of out him but they both looked cute regardless! I'll post the final pictures when we get them back.

Maryline & Jason's Wedding

Today we went to my cousin's wedding. It was exciting to get the kids all dressed up.

Here's Claire all dressed up...love the pearls. I used to wear a string of pink pearls on fancy occaisions when I was little too.

Jacob getting his suit on.

We clean up nicely, don't ya think?!

Here's a better photo of Jacob without the pacifier. He looks like royalty! Gotta love that smile from ear to ear!

It makes me think of a photo I had with Claire when she was about the same age. She looked like royalty too.

A picture of traditional buddist ceremony. The bride and groom and rest of the family and friends gather around on the floor in prayer as the monks bless their marriage.

Jacob had a nice time. He was passed around from relative to relative. They were all waiting to hold him. How can anyone resist this cuteness?

Claire had a hard time staying still. Halfway through the ceremony she started dancing around and lifting her dress up showing her undies.

After the ceremony, the couple is then given blessings by everyone. Strings are tied around their wrists, usually with money. Here, the brides mother is giving her daughter a blessing.

Grandma giving Claire a blessing.

Claire admiring her beautiful cousin Thaiana.

The kids didn't come to the reception which was held at the swanky liberty grand. Here's the couple having their dance.

Sure does bring back memories of our day....feels so long ago....

Sandbox and Sandwiches

The kids had fun playing in the new sandbox today. Even Isaac got in there and Jacob supervised from the sidelines.

It was a hot day and we made some ice-cream sandwiches with eggo waffles and neopolitan ice-cream (Isaac's idea ofcourse). At first Claire didn't know what to make of it.

Then Isaac showed her.

And she was all over it...look at that tongue.

Missed the ice-cream completely!
