Fun by the lake

 Only a few more days before school! 

 

We spent the afternoon by the lake throwing rocks in the water.

 

There was also an excellent park.  The kids loved this swinger.

 

More fun and interesting things to swing in and climb...

Another fun day at Wonderland

We're trying to soak in the last bit of summer while we can. 

 

We took to the waterpark again...but it wasn't as warm as we would have liked.

 

We still managed to make the best of it!

Fun Day at the Zoo

We've been lucky with the weather this week and took to the zoo. 

 

Jacob was very excited sporting Isaac's hat.

We'd never gone to the water park there before.  Where there is water, you will find Jacob smiling.

This exactly what Marineland should have.

After the wark park, we walked around to see the animals.  This is a funny story.  The zookeeper took out the snake and we told Jacob to go and see it.  He runs right past the lady to the fence to look in the grass.  We told him it was right in front of him and he still couldn't find it.  It took him a while to realize it was right above his head.

Finally seeing the snake.  He was happy to touch it.  He loves animals.

He would have taken this stuffy home if he could.

Marineland

After GWL, we stopped off at Marineland before heading home.

Any minute now....

They took too long so we went down to the observatory and saw the beluga whales instead.

Feeding the free-roaming deers.  I'm surprised Claire wasn't scared.  Thaiana and I stayed away.

All in all, it was a really hot day.  We went on a few rides (a lot of them were closed), but the park overall seemed very empty.  This place needs to be rejuvenated and have a water park/splash pad area added.  If any place should have one, they should!  We probably won't visit again unless they add this.  The only good thing about this place is that you can bring in your own food whereas other parks don't let you do that.

Great Wolf Lodge 2013

We were really excited to get out the city for a few days and go back to GWL.  We were a family of "6", with Thaiana sitting in as our oldest daughter.

 

And away we go....singing songs in the van.

 

Story time in the lobby...

Followed by family dance party....this was soo awesome.  They played all the kids (and mine!) favourite tunes...One Direction, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift...you name it.

We all went on the family slide...even Jacob!  We had a blast!
