Halloween Party 2011

We were really excited about Marc and Joanne's annual Halloween party this year since we missed it last year as Jacob was just born.  All the kids were so cute dressed up.

After the Party

It was a fun afternoon.  After all that cake, it was time for a bath.  Look at that silly face!

 This picture shows how well his scar has healed.  It really does define his pec's quite nicely.

Oh he loves to chew his teddy!  It's his absolute favourite thing.  He drags it all over the house and needs to have it for bed time.

Some of his other favourite things.  He loves these books.  The bear and bee page are his favourite.

The Birthday Party - Cake Time

The Birthday Party - Play Time

We had Jacob's party at Kidnetix Edu-play centre.  It was great because we had 2 playrooms to use.

On the way to his party!  Facing forward and loving it.  His eyes are fixated on the DVD screen.  Poor guy was watching it through his mirror in reverse these past few months.  Now he's one of the big kids!

1 Year Milestone

Jacob is 1 years old today!!  My we've had an incredible year with this little guy.  You never would have knew he had heart surgery.  He's tough, rough, sweet and smooth around the edges, all at the same time.  He loves to get into things - things that he shouldn't be - and keeps us all on our toes.  There is no way Claire will be walking all over this guy.  He knows how to hold his own and will take her on.  His latest photo....not that great, but you can't get him to stay still very long any more!

Bananas!

That's how I can describe how I'm feeling....it's just bananas!  Only a few more hours to go before the official big "1".  Jacob was feeling bananas too.

Happy 13th Bday Isaac

Isaac is 13 today!!! How is this even possible?  Where did my baby go?  We are talking highschool next year people.....oh my god...oh my god...I think I'm having a heart attack.  Look at how ecstatic these 2 are!

We decided to do a Phineus and Ferb theme for his gifts.  I thought it was important to get him some fun gifts before he leaves his childhood days behind.  We got him 3 t-shirts, pyjamas and a beach towel.

Claire and Jacob got Isaac Phineus and Ferb dolls.  He really liked them.

They said all their typical catch phrases.  It was cute.

Saying Good-bye to a Legend

It's Anthony's last week of paternity leave and on his to-do list is getting his "sports car" out of the driveway.  It's been sitting there for about 3 months now since we got the mini-van.  It's long time he said good-bye.  As you can see, she was in pretty rough shape.  It was hard for him to see her go and he took these photos as a last memory.

Getting hoisted up to be towed to the scrap yard...I mean the showroom, yes the showroom where she will be memoralized forever.

And watching her being taken away....it's a miracle he was able to hold the camera still through his teary eyes.

She will always be known as "Sunfire Black", his "manly sports car"....because it was a GT.  A moment of silence to pay our respects...

Jacob at Daycare

Today Jacob started daycare...boo hoo.  Since I'm back at work Anthony took him for his visit.  Today he was only there for 1/2 a day.  Overall he did well, but was extremely tired since he's still taking a morning nap.  It will take some getting used to for everyone.  Claire' is also back full time now and is happy to have Jacob at the daycare with her.  We know she'll keep an eye on him for us!

Lilac

It's starting to get a bit chilly out now so we've got to bring winter wear to daycare.  Claire was excited to try out all her new winter gear.  Last year we had a brown snowsuit.  This year the colour is Lilac - from her head to her boots!

Who needs toys when you've got a big brother to sit on?  What fun!
