Boing, Boing!!

When she gets going, there's no stopping her. She will bounce until she throws up! But don't worry - she doesn't expect us to clean it up, no, no, nope. She will mop it up with her feet and spread the barf all over the floor.

Sleep Sack Sally

Success!!! Claire is sleeping in her sleep sack now for all naps and bedtime!!!!! Yay! Daddy calls her sleep sack Sally, haha.

Save!

Claire and Isaac were playing soccer again. What better way to stop a goal than to sit on the ball. It was right on the line...so no goal!

Visiting the Godparents

We took Claire on Saturday to visit her godparents Chris & Natalie, and spend some time with Anthony's godson Thomas and their older daughter Ada. Here are some photos.

The kids playing with the toys. Daddy realized this is a preview of what daycare would be like for Claire (minus Mommy by her side). Claire did just fine and really enjoyed the age appropriate company.

Thomas was very intrigued by Claire's sheep slippers. He couldn't help but touch them.

Claire versus Sleep Sack

We are trying to get Claire out of the swaddle wrap and into the sleep sack. On our first attempt, the score was Claire 1 and sleep sack 0. She seems pretty happy given she's sleep deprived. Love the bed head.

On our second nap, the score was Claire 1 1/2 and sleep sack 1/2....I gave half points because she only slept for about 40 minutes and she usually goes down for 2 hours.

We didn't even try the sack at bedtime. The poor girl was so sleep deprived (and plus she's not feeling 100% well) that we just wrapped her up and called it a night.

A Walk in the Park

It was a beautiful day so I took the kids to the park.

Valentines Day

6 Month Milestone

Can we say chunky!!!! She's really fattened up over the last month. We are really starting to see Claire's personality blossom. She's a very happy baby and knows just how to get our attention. It's pretty safe to say that this little one has us all wrapped around her little finger.

Rubber Duckie

Claire received this rubber duckie inflatable tub for Christmas. Since she's outgrown her infant tub, we thought it was time to set this new one up. We used it last night and she loved it.

This is one rubber duckie you don't want to mess with. If you squeeze the beak, it makes duck noises.

Claire had a nice time laying back and kicking her legs. And after Claire was finished, Isaac said it was his turn......I don't think so!

It's Only Fair...

Given Valentines Day is coming up, I thought it would only be fair to get something for Claire too. She just can't sit by and watch us all eating our chocolates and candy. So I thought it only right to give her something to chew on......in comes Sophie the Giraffe! I couldn't wait, so I gave it to her early. Claire took to her right away.

She made sure Sophie knew who the boss was so she started showing off and doing bicep curls with her.

And then she decided that she was better to chew on.

It's a tough life for a plastic giraffe.

Chow Time

We finally started Claire on solids! Here she is smiling waiting patiently for her grub.

Let's Go Shopping

I've introduced Claire to the world of online shopping. She spent the morning going through the grocery flyers with me. We were looking at some ribs for dinner tomorrow and she got real excited. As you can see by her tongue, she's sooo ready to start solids!

Then I showed her what real online shopping was....and we went to the Coach website. Like a true girl, she was very interested in the numerous styles of handbags one could possibly own.

I was getting her opinion on the Zoe handbag I wanted. She thought it was a good pic.

Given the price tag on this bag, I explained to her that it would be a very, very, very, long time before Daddy would allow Mommy to have this bag. So she said, "No problem Mommy, I'll get it for you." So naturally, she turned to face Daddy and said please, pretty, pretty please, while batting her eyelashes. How could he resist that?

Afterall, a coach purse for one woman is a victory for all women. I'm glad she's on my team! My little secret weapon against Daddy!

Soccer Stars

Everyone knows Claire adores her big brother and whatever Isaac does, Claire wants to do too! He's already got her into soccer. They had a friendly game yesterday in the hallway. They used the dining room door as goal posts. Isaac was forward and Claire played goalie. She stopped several of Isaac's shots during the game.

One got in so she wasn't too happy. We explained to her that she can't always win.

They kiss and made up after the game and hung out in Isaac's room.

They both looked soo funny with these silly hats. Claire looks like she's got soccer balls in her cheeks.

Groundhog Day

Claire was so excited the groundhog came out that she jumped a whole season. She's really excited about summer! She is looking forward to going swimming. I wanted to get her a two-piece bathing suit but Daddy said that was out of the question!

He would have put her in a scuba outfit but instead we compromised for this cute suit.
