11 Month Milestone

One more month before the big ONE!! Wow, time flies when you`re having fun. He`s starting to use the walker, but no single steps by himself yet. This little guy is really comfortable crawling. We`ll see what happens this month. His latest photo.

Hi Daddy/Anthony,

Happy Birthday! We wanted to do something a little special for you to commemorate the big day. So I decided I would interview each of the kids and get their thoughts on what makes you a great Dad. Here's how the first interview went with Jacob.

Yep, he had lots to say! Peek-a-boo, Daddy I love you! Although you're not as quick as Mommy in feeding him and getting his bottle ready, he knows how hard you try to get things just right.

Next up - Isaac! What will he have to say? I had a little fun with him and played a bit of 20 questions. This is how it went.

Dont' let him fool you. Behind the macho pre-teen facade, is a boy who loves you sooo much and values all the time you spend with him. The bond that the 2 of you have is a reflection of the time and energy that you put into your relationship with him. You're a great role-model for him and most importantly, a trusted friend.

And lastly, our little princess. Now...obviously I had to use some bribery to get her on camera. But we know this is standard procedure in the course of daily life with Claire. It's all good and turned out very sweet!

Now you can get a kiss from Claire whenever you like! Just press play, over, and over, and over again! You can tell how she is really thinking her answers over and is working hard to get her gummies. Sorry Jacob was making noise in the background, but it adds to the authenticity of our little project!

Ready to Walk

Guess what this little guy did today!!! Yep - he started to use the walker! I'm so glad I didn't miss this. Here's some video footage. It's exciting!

He was being very quiet....I looked all around and this is where I found him!

If he was on his own a little bit longer, I'm sure he would have started throwing things in.

High Park

Daddy is having a great time being home...and the kids are too! He's doing an AMAZING job at home. He takes them to the library every week, makes REAL popcorn on the stove and today, met up with Grandma and Grandpa at High Park. It was a beautiful day to be in the park.

Unfortunately the bike trailer was missing a piece so the kids couldn't go in it. But Grandpa to the rescue! The kids took turns on the seat. First here's Claire.

They had a nice lunch and visited the animals at the petting zoo - of which Claire was not a fan!

Terry Fox

I've only been back a few days and I am already getting into the BMO team spirit. Today we participated in the Terry Fox Run (or walk for us). It was a beautiful day and the entire family was in tow. A photo of team BMO:

Back-to-Work

I am back-to-work now...BOO!! Anthony will taking the next 7 weeks on paternity leave with the kids. Although I'm extremely excited (or envious rather!) for him, I am really bummed out for me! I'm going to miss these guys sooo much!

My first day back was alright. The upside is that it's kind of nice having some grown-up conversation for a change!

Check-ups

Jacob and Claire had their check-ups at the doctor today. Claire is almost 29 lbs and Jacob is almost 22 lbs!! I don't remember the measurements but overall Jacob was measuring at the 50th percentile for his weight and 10th percentile for his height. So although he does not weigh very much (according to the benchmarks), because he is super short, he looks really chubby! It's all good....it adds to his cuteness.

We got her some flowers, lottery tickets and.....a fried fish! Mmmm...brings back some childhood memories. She was so excited!

First Day of School

Well the summer is over and Isaac is back to school! Can you believe it? Grade 8! That's just ridiculous. Where did the time fly? Although he did not get the teacher he was hoping for, he has a great class. We are looking forward to an exciting and successful year!

Wonderland

We spent our last day at Wonderland. It was too cold for the waterpark so we just enjoyed the rides.

Anthony and Isaac went on some of the big rides while Claire, Jacob and I waited and watched. They were not pleased with how high this ride went....they were actually mortified to hear the screaming.

After Isaac got his fill of rides, we took Claire to Snoopy's place. He was a good sport and brought his little sister on the rides.

On this last attempt, the game attendant gave him some pointers.

Claire also played some games. She played the ball toss twice. The first time, she won a small prize penguin and she gave it to Jacob. She was determined to win a big prize though. Here she is at her second attempt...waiting...waiting to see where the ball lands...

And we have a big winner!!! She picked an elephant this time for herself.
