Our little baby turned 9 months today! My how time flies. Jacob is such a sweet and tender soul. He's a good-natured little guy and we love him to bits. This past month Jacob has becoming increasingly more mobile, experimenting with standing and crawling. By the end of the month I expect he'll be on the move! Here is his latest photo.
These are going to get hard to come by fairly soon as he won't sit still very long and enjoys throwing the bear around.
Showing us how he's liking being on all fours.
Doing a little bounce and jiggle.

Great Wolf 2011
We took the kids to Great Wolf Lodge for a few days of relaxation. Overall the resort was top notch and totally geared towards family. To save some money, we brought our own food for breakfast and lunches.
Here are some photos of the resort.
The grand living room with the wolves resting on the fireplace stones. They would howl every now and then.
Here are the forest friends, moose, owl, bear and tree, who would put on a show every morning and every evening.
A closer look.
They had an awesome arcade. We spent $75 on the first night!!! Grandma and Isaac had lots of fun gambling with some of the coin machines. Claire was also really good at one of the coin slot games. You had to put in a coin and try to get it through various numbered holes which would give the same amount of tickets. She got it through the 30 hole twice.
Fun in some of the ride-ons.
More scenery pics. Claire talking with the moose.
Me trying to pose with Claire in front of the tree.
Claire posing nicely...not!
Jacob on a stroll.
Every night they would do story time with the forest friends. You would get dressed up in your PJs and grab a spot on the floor. At the end of the story, they would do the Great Wolf howl.
Playing in the gift shop after story time.
We also took the kids to the clubhouse. Jacob played in the toy centre.
The other 2 did some arts & crafts. Isaac coloured Claire a t-shirt.
A photo of the finished product.
A photo of the kids.
The best family picture we could get.
Somehow we forgot to take waterpark photos but it was really awesome. There was something for everyone. Isaac loved all the waterslides, Claire loved the wave pool, and Jacob...well, let's just say he liked the hotel room! He didn't go in the water at all. It was a lot to take in for him and he was playing catch-up with his naps.
We totally recommend it for all families and are looking forward to making this an annual trip from now on.

Splash Pad
My kids would stay inside all day if they were allowed to. I dragged them out to the splash pad today to get them running around.
After she got more comfortable, she had fun running around and screaming.
Jacob enjoyed watching all the kids. And he looked super cute in his swim suit.
We stayed for about 1 1/2 hours and then headed home for lunch.

Canada Day and the Movies
We spent Canada Day in Whitby. While Jacob napped, we took Claire to her very first movie with Marc, Joanne & Ryan. Here we are posing in front of the Transformers advertisement. That's not the movie we took her to though!
Claire checking out all the goodies at the snack bar.
Enjoying her popcorn as we waited for the movie to start.
All in all, she did alright. We saw Cars 2 and it probably wasn't the greatest pick as a first feature for her. The plot was too confusing and was not funny enough for the kids to relate to. She also got popcorn stuck in her teeth and was fussing over that so I had to take her to the washroom to floss. But she had lots of fun. After that we went for lunch.
A photo of the fam (minus Isaac) in our festive colours.
Posing with Jacob for his first Canada day celebration.
Claire stayed with Grandma and Grandpa overnight to watch the fireworks while we took the little guy home. She had lots of fun with her grandparents and cousins that she did not want to come home the next day.
