Jacob is 7 months old today....already!! Time sure is flying by fast and I'll be back to work in a few months. :(
I am truly enjoying every minute of every day with my little boy. He is such an easy-going baby (unlike his older sister!). He sleeps and eats well and he loves to laugh...especially at his older brother and sister. He can't wait to be able to run and play with them. He is our little angel and life is so complete now that he's here. His latest photo:
We are teething apparent from the drool.
All the organic food I'm making him with the baby bullet is rounding him out. We love the chunky cheeks, hands and thighs. He is 18 lbs right now!!

Missing a Nap
Claire's cousin was over today so I let Claire skip her afternoon nap. While I was putting Jacob down to bed, I left Claire in the kitchen with her usual bed time rituals of eating her bed time snack, colouring, and watching her videos on the lap top. When I came back to get her ready for bed, this is what I found.
My poor baby was passed right out on top of her colouring book. She still had the marker in her hand but I removed it before taking the picture. I guess missing a nap isn't such a bad idea if it gets her to bed by 7:00pm!

Little Helper
It's really nice having Claire home part time. A bit hectic at times but overall she is a great help with Jacob. This afternoon she wanted to give Jacob his bottle.
She loves her little brother so much. She will kiss, hug, and ask her sweetie what's wrong if he cries.
She even taught him how to hold the bottle himself!

A Salute to the Troops
Since Jacob's hair cut makes him look like a military recruit, I decided to dress him in his army gear to pay tribute to his brothers that are bravely fighting for our country.
Working on his push-ups.
I have to say though that the camouflage is not very flattering on him. He looks like an army blimp!

Delayed Reaction
Isaac was making Jacob laugh tonight and Claire got kind of jealous. Near the end of the video you see her delayed reaction.

Double Stroller
With Claire home now 3 days a week with Jacob and I, we went out and got a double stroller. I had been contemplating a while on whether to get tandem or side-by-side and we ended up with the Baby Jogger. A bit more pricier than the tandem ones but I can definitely say that after 1 walk to the park with the stroller I knew it was worth every penny. It pushes like a dream, the canopies are very generous, both kids have lots of room and easy to push with one hand. They both really liked being side-by-side and it was nice for me to be able to take them out together, strapped down, since Claire is not a walker.
I'm sure we'll get our monies worth from this summer alone as this is my final mat leave.

Jacob's First Hair Cut
Okay Anthony was finally convinced that Jacob needed a hair cut. Everyone was telling him how awful it looked and I threatened to start putting hair clips on Jacob.
Anyway, we took both Claire and Jacob. Claire role modelled how easy it was and went first.
Jacob waiting patiently for his turn.
Some before pictures.
A side view of the rooster mohawk.
And the back.
Jacob got a little nervous and started sucking the apron.
Here we go!
He looks a little freaked but he didn't seem to mind the razor at all.
Claire couldn't help but look over and see how Jacob was doing.
Looking good and almost done.
And the final results! He looks like an army recruit! We'll call him sargent from now on.
And Claire's hair cut.
The back was really choppy that I had to cut it again when we got home.
